6 Islands literally in front of the door: Sylt, Amrum, Föhr, Pellworm, Helgoland and Nordstrand. 10 smaller Islands (Halligen): Hooge, Langeneß, Oland, Gröde, Nordstrandischmoor, Südfall, Süderoog, Norderoog, Hamburger Hallig.
There is a lot to discover: on foot, by bike on the 350 kilometer north coast cycle path, on one of the 12 golf courses on the mainland and the islands, or in the 4,410 square kilometer Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park.
